Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program

I-HELP is the only emergency shelter open every night with no waiting list in the Monterey area for men and women: a hot meal, a safe place, and a caring community.

Our Program

For over 33 years, I-HELP has been helping individuals rebuild their lives by providing short-term housing, nourishment, and personalized support and guidance towards long-term stability and independence. Together with our network of over 60 local faith communities and service organizations, we ensure that no one in need is turned away.

SHELTER

We offer homeless men and women short-term lodging where we offer evening meals on a nightly basis during their stay in the program.

We provide tailored advice and support to help individuals find a job or move forward in other areas of their lives.

We help each participant develop and maintain a positive outlook and lifestyle that fosters personal autonomy and growth.
