Monterey County Gives! - Challenge Grants

 

I-HELP is excited to be in Monterey County Gives (MC Gives!) for the 5th year.  This amazing community wide fund raising campaign, sponsored by the Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC) and the Monterey County Weekly matches donations by a percentage. Last year’s donations were matched 9.23%. I-HELP raised $57K in 2020 for a little under ¼ of our total expenses for the year!

 

YOU, have a special opportunity to contribute a Challenge Gift to show your support and help spur other donations. Challenge gift donations made prior to October 22th will be listed in the MC Gives! on November 11, 2021. The Challenge Gift Form has all the information needed for publication.

I-HELP should be shown as the “organization receiving the challenge gift.”  CFMC (Community Foundation of Monterey County) will credit and forward to I-HELP all contributions so designated. You will receive a tax statement from CFMC.  Synagogues, Churches, and Organizations are encouraged to combine multiple individual donations into a single donation from the organization. You can donate in a variety of ways:

  • Checks and credit card donations payable to CFMC/MC Gives! and sent to CFMC with the address on the form.

  • Credit card donations by phone 831.375.9712 and they will help fill out the form.

After pausing our Women’s program in May 2020 we are working toward reopening in December as the weather gets colder. Even during COVID, we were able to offer shelter, food, and support 365 days a year for our homeless community!
